Do I need a business already?
No. Half the room is pre launch. What you do need is something you are genuinely working on, an idea you are testing, a practice you are starting, a project with your name on it. Bring that and the hour of deep work has somewhere to go.
Is the meditation part compulsory?
Nothing is compulsory. Sit with your eyes open if you would rather. It is thirty five minutes at the end of three hours, it is the reason people leave feeling different rather than just informed, and most sceptics stay.
What does the £25 cover?
The room, the talk, the worksheet and the practice. Brunch and coffee are on your own bill, usually £10 to £15 depending on the venue, ordered when you arrive. Keeping food separate means you order what you actually want rather than eating a set menu you did not choose.
Do I have to stay for the afternoon?
Not at all. The event finishes at one o’clock and plenty of people leave then. Those who can stay usually head somewhere nearby for coffee or lunch, which is where most of the real connections happen. Come for the morning, stay if the day allows.
Where exactly is it?
A café in central London with a private or semi private area, near a Tube stop. The venue is confirmed by email 48 hours before, along with what to bring. Laptop, notebook, and something you are stuck on.
What if only a couple of people book?
It runs from three people. Below that I will email you the morning before and move your seat to the following Saturday, or refund you, whichever you prefer. This is week one of a new thing and I would rather tell you that up front than have you turn up to a table for two.
I have never meditated. Will I be out of my depth?
No. It is guided the whole way through, it lasts about fifteen minutes of the thirty five, and there is nothing to get right. Half the room will be in the same position. Sit with your eyes open if you would rather, and say pass at any point.
Should I book here or on Eventbrite?
Either works and the price is the same. Booking here puts you on the list I run myself, so you get the worksheet in advance and first refusal on the next Saturday. Eventbrite is faster if you want a card payment and an instant ticket.
Can I come every week?
Please do. The compounding is the entire point, and the people who show up weekly get asked about last week’s commitment. Book each Saturday individually for now. A monthly membership is coming once the room is consistently full.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel up to 24 hours before for a full refund, either through Eventbrite or by replying to your confirmation email. Inside 24 hours the seat is held for you at the following Saturday instead. Twelve seats means a no show is a real cost to someone on the waiting list.
